Madelyn McKee

Madelyn McKee, 89, of Austin formerly of Port Neches, died Saturday, October 10, 2015. She was born on November 16, 1925, in Port Neches, to Edna Sterling and Oscar B. Osborne.
Madelyn was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church in Austin and a member of Order of the Eastern Star #677 Port Neches chapter. She enjoyed crochet and will be remembered for her strong devotion to her faith, and as the best cook west of the Mississippi. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed her camp at Toledo Bend.
Survivors include her daughter, Janet McKee Bernard, of Austin; son, Mike McKee and his wife, Cynthia, of Port Neches; grandchildren, Mike McKee, Jr., Mark McKee and his wife, Kelli, Matthew McKee, and Jennifer McKee; great-grandchildren, Zachary and Brooklyn McKee; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edna and O.B. Osborne; husband of fifty-five years, Terry McKee; brothers, Carl and Gerald Osborne; and sister, Dorothy Baird.
A gathering of Mrs. McKee’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Oak bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
