Mamie Frances Lupo, 94, of Port Arthur, Texas, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015 in Groves, Texas. She was born on January 28, 1921 in Port Arthur to Sam and Jenny Palermo. She was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur. Mamie was a homemaker who loved to cook and work in her garden. She would do anything for anybody and was loved by her neighbors.
Mamie was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Lupo; two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her son, A.J. Lupo and wife Dolores and daughter, Agnes Thomas. She also leaves behind grandchildren, Michael Overstreet and wife Susan, Theresa Faulk and husband Shawn, Charissa Chatelain, Anthony Lupo and wife Jessica, Brian Lupo and wife Sadie and 5 great grandchildren to cherish her memories.
The family would like to thank Compassion Hospice and all of the care-givers for their service and the loving care they provided for our mother.
A Christian Vigil and Rosary will be recited Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at 6:00 p.m., with visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Grammier – Oberle Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Arthur. Rite of Committal will follow at, Greenlawn Memorial Park.
