James (Buster) Russell Payne, 79, passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 surrounded by family and friends.
He was a member of New St John Missionary Baptist Church and past president of the Golden Light Civic and Social Club.
James is survived by his wife, Shirley Watts-Payne; son, Eric R. Payne Sr.; daughters, Nicole Payne Brown; Dawn Hope Payne; Dana Faith Payne; stepson, Aaron R. Watts; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be held on Monday, October 19, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at New St John Missionary Baptist Church, 1048 West Gulfway Drive. Viewing from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
