Gloria Jean Hawkins was peacefully called home to our Lord Jesus Christ on December 3, 2015 at the age of 73.  She will always be remembered as an outspoken and loving person.  Gloria was born on August 27, 1942 to the late Lena & Benjamin Hawkins.
She was also preceded in death by her brother Carl Stephens, Sr. and nephew Jessie Lee Stephens.  She lived most of her young life at Richmond State Supported Living Center in Richmond, TX. Her last three years she abided at St. Giles Living Center in Beaumont, TX.
Gloria leaves behind one brother Eddie Johnson; three sisters Betty Brown, Jessie Ann Stephens, and Jennifer (Edgar) Walker to cherish her memory.  Also she leaves a close cousin Steven Mitchell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Gabriel Funeral Home Chapel, 2500 Procter Street, Port Arthur, TX with a viewing from 12 noon until service time.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
