Tawana Nicole Kennedy, 35 of Port Arthur, Texas went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at her residence, surrounded by family who loved her dearly.
“Tuti” as she was affectionately called by those closest to her was born on June 25, 1980 in Galveston, Texas to Dorothea Banks-Labarrera and Willie Henry Kennedy Jr.
She was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, and until her illness prevented her from doing so she was pursuing a career in cosmetology at Vista College.
Tawana was preceded in death by her grandparents; three aunts, one uncle and one cousin.
She leaves to cherish her memory husband Donald Shavers and one son Brian Andres Jr.; three sisters, Erica Banks, Leona Banks and Jamie Banks; one twin brother Willie Henry Kennedy III, all of Port Arthur Texas, and a host of extended relatives, special loved ones and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 19, 2015 at St. John Baptist Church, 801 Grannis Ave. Visitation beginning at 9 a.m.  Burial following at Live Oak Memorial Park, entrusted to Hannah Funeral Home, Inc.
