Charlie Will Motley

Charlie Will Motley, 60, died with peace and grace on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at the Michael E. Debakey VA Medical Center with his family by his side.
Charlie was born August, 1955, in Port Arthur, Texas and was a lifelong area resident. He served in the United States Army in the 1970’s. He worked at Carotex, Inc., and was currently retired. He was a graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School in Port Arthur, Texas and attended Sowela Technical Institute in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
He enjoyed fishing and playing dominoes with his fellow friends.
He is survived by his daughters Antoinette Motley-Carpenter and Angela Motley – Vincent (Kary); mother Lee Ella Babino Motley; two sisters, Lee Ella Motley and Mary Ella Motley – Chase (Richard); nephew, Janathan Lamar Henson, Jr.; two nieces, Rebecca Kemper Jones (Harold) and Trinity Mary – Lee Henson; 3 grandchildren, De’Andrea Monique Carpenter, Aaron Lee Carpenter, Kyler Keshawn Vincent; a special relative who he raised as ahis son Queronde Chaisson; three aunts, Annie Bell Barnes, Ruby Malveaux and Maimie McDaniel.
He is preceded in death by his father, Willie Motley, Sr.; two brothers, Willie Motley, Jr., and Tom Motley; two aunts, Dorothy Sinette and Virginia Johnson.
A viewing will take place Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Eastern Star Missionary Baptist Church. Visitors are invited to come between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. A funeral service officiated by Dr. Lloyd W. Scott will follow at 11:00 a.m.
