Former PA employee charged with theft of metal

A former City of Port Arthur employee has been arrested and charged with theft of metal.
Robert Leblanc, the former supervisor of water meter services, was formally charged by the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office Tuesday night.
Leblanc is charged with five counts of theft of metal by a public servant that includes 21 counts of metal theft, according to a press release from the DA’s office. Each charge is a third degree felony.
The stolen metal were water meter parts belonging to the city.
Bond is set at $60,000.
The arrest is part of an ongoing investigation.
