• Hebert Public Library “Beginner Spanish” class on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 10 a.m. at 2025 Merriman St. in Port Neches. Just for fun — basic conversational Spanish. No previous knowledge of Spanish needed. Come exercise your brain, laugh, and learn. Meets every Tuesday at 10 a.m. for a total of six weeks. Although the class was designed for “graduates” of the library’s recent Beginner Spanish class, our weekly Spanish conversation get-together is open to anyone.
• Triangle Photo Group workshop led by Ian Wright from Sulphur, La. The workshop will focus on High-Key and Low-key techniques in a lighted studio setting at the Groves Public Library on Wednesday, January 20 from 5:45-8 p.m. The workshop is $10.
