Alma Lee Lafayette, 93 passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2016.
She was a native of Crowley, LA, and was educated within the public schools of Louisiana and worked in the PAISD 30 plus years with maintenance staff. She was a member of Historic Israel Chapel AME Church, 948 Texas Ave.
Preceding her in death was her husband Alex Lafayette.
Alma is survived by nephews, who saw to her care Jeffery Nelms and Clyde Nelms. Two sisters; Alberta Treadville, and Emma Nelms of Houston, a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 16, 2016 11:00 a.m. at Historic Israel Chapel AME Church. Officiating Pastor Theo Mays, visitation 9:00 a.m. Burial following at Live Oak Memorial Park. Services entrusted to Hannah Funeral Home, Inc.
