Alberto Villarreal, 48, of Houston passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at his residence.
Alberto was born on May 11, 1967 in Port Arthur, Texas to parents Maria (Socorro) and Isidro Villarreal. He retired from the Navy, after 20 years of serving his country during Desert Shield and Desert Strom. He received a bachelor’s degree science from San Jacinto College and had worked as a chemical operator with ECO Services for the last 5 years. Alberto was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Isidro Villarreal and niece, Angelica Villarreal.
Alberto is survived by his wife, Georgia Villarreal of Houston; mother, Maria Socorro Villarreal of Groves; son, Daniel Craig Villarreal and fiancée, Lyn Ramos of Houston, daughters, Meranda Walker and fiancé, Chris Moody of Houston, Stephine Welch and fiancé, Drew Nava of Houston; brothers, Isidro Villarreal Jr. and wife, Cathy of Port Arthur, Ralph Villarreal and wife, Kelly of Dallas, Hector Villarreal and wife, Danka of Houston; sisters, Aurora Nortman and husband, Michael of Groves, Myrna Haynie and husband, Michael of Groves; brother in law, Ben Romine and wife, Elizabeth of Chesapeake, VA; sister in laws, Ruth Tononi and husband, Daryl of Virginia Beach, VA, Whitney Romine of Long Beach, CA. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Serenity, Katelyn, Alex, Timothy, Georgia Raven, Isabel, Cody, Bella, John Ray and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 22, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 pm at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Urbano Saenz-Ramirez serving as celebrant. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens in Nederland.
