Jack A. Tisdale

Jack A. Tisdale, 85, of Bridge City, went to be with the Lord January 25, 2016. He was born on January 2, 1931 to Philip & Ethel Tisdale in Port Arthur, Texas. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur and then attended North Texas University in Denton, Texas. He returned to Port Arthur where he was employed by Gulf Oil Refinery as an instrument man and retired after thirty years of service. He is a member of First Assembly of God Church in Bridge City.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Barbara Tisdale; step-sons, Scott and Susan Hoffpauir of Orange, David and Rhonda Hoffpauir of Plano; 3 step-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Dorothy Ware of Nederland and his nieces Kathy Marksmeier of Tomball, TC, Susan Breitenberg of White Oak, TX and Phyllis Mosley of Nederland, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Paul Ware.
Jack enjoyed serving others and spent his time volunteering with the Ministerial Alliance and Baptist Orange Hospital. He loved his Lord and believed he could best serve Him by helping others.
The visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 pm. at First Assembly of God Church in Bridge City. The funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 28, 2016, at First Assembly of God in Bridge City. Officiating will be Pastor Robby Holland and Keith Maloy.
