Leslie was born on July 28, 1959 to parents, Jerry and Dot Sonnier, and joined our Heavenly Father on February 9, 2016.
Leslie is survived by her husband, John Eischens; daughters, Rebecca and Kristin; 3 siblings, sister Bonnie Burke and husband Bud, sister Carol Guidry, and brother Ricky Sonnier and wife Rose.
Leslie graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1977 and graduated from Texas A&M University in 1981.
She was an angel to everyone with whom she came in contact. Her smile resonated an unexplainable sense of comfort and joy for anyone fortunate enough to experience it. Leslie left a lasting impression in everyone she met.
She proudly served as the manager of the accounting department at BreitBurn Energy for 8 years. Throughout these years, her colleagues and department employees became friends and soon grew to be family.
She enjoyed traveling, especially by cruise ship. There was never a family get together that didn’t involve a table of her signature desserts. Baking always brought her the biggest joy and she firmly believed that food is love. Leslie also never came across a stray animal that she didn’t want to bring home. She always had a love for animals that never waned.
Leslie Sonnier Eischens was nothing short of an angel who walked Earth for 56 years.
