Mustangs earn TSWA All-State honors

The West Orange-Stark Mustangs football team is starting to pick up individual honors following the team’s state championship season.
Defensive lineman Mandel Turner-King and linebacker Steven Tims were named first team all-state selections by the Texas Sports Writers Association. Quarterback Jack Dallas was named to the second team and receiver Thomas Wallace picked up honorable mention honors.
Silsbee offensive lineman Patrick Hudson was named a third-team selection while Tigers quarterback Dontre’ Thomas was an honorable mention selection.
Dallas and Thomas are offensive finalists for the Willie Ray Smith Award. Tims is a defensive finalist for the award. The announcement will be made Wednesday.
