Margaret Pate, 79, of Groves passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on July 1, 1936 in Clyde, Texas to Herman Turner and Ethel Gardner Turner.
Margaret had lived in Groves for 50 years and was a homemaker and veterinarian assistant. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Groves, where she taught Sunday School.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Dr. Joe Worley and Reverend Charles Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
A visitation for family and friends will be Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd W. Pate, Sr., son, Wesley Pate and daughter-in-law, Joni Pate.
She is survived by two daughters, Gwen Wofford and husband Willard of Groves, and Theresa Wallace and husband, Johnny of Huxley, two sons, Michael Pate and Robert Warren of Houston and Wayne Pate of Groves, sister, Pearl Barnett and husband, Clayton of Highlands, TX., brother, George Turner of Roby, TX., twelve grandchildren, Kevin, Shane, Randy, Brent, Jeremy, Shaun, Billy, Ashley, Denise, Vanessa, Justin and Joshua and twenty-one great grandchildren.
