Monica Von Ary, 49, passed away peacefully at her home on March 2, 2016 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was the oldest daughter of Gale Lair Pitre and Bill Ary and the fathers who raised her Robert Gilbert and Vernon Pitre. At the time of her passing she was employed at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center as an R.N. at the Head, Neck and Throat Clinic. She was previously employed at St. Mary’s Hospital Emergency Room.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Eldret and Shirley Lair
She leaves to miss her forever her parents, Vernon and Gale Pitre and Robert Gilbert. Her three loving children Ebony Ary of Houston, TX, Barry Brown of Dallas, TX, Brittney Opara (Theodore) of El Paso, TX; her beloved and devoted sister, Michelle Jones (Cardell) of Houston, TX; her three grandchildren Zachary Linton, Za’Marri Garrett, Aria Opara and a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway in Houston, TX at 11 a.m. Viewing at 10 a.m. until service time.
