Edith “Darlene” Daniels

Edith “Darlene” Daniels, aka “Nanny”, age 70, of Port Acres, TX passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday June 16, 2016 after her battle with cancer.
Darlene was born in Port Arthur, Texas on November 26, 1945, to the late Callie Dorsett and Clayton Naylor. She attended Stephen F. Austin High School and Lamar College where she received her degree in radiology technology.
After the birth of her two children, both to Floyd Bergeron, Darlene worked as a masseuse. On January 01, 2000 she married the love of her life, Roger Daniels. The couple was well known for their love of life, love for God, and their passion for antiquing. During their marriage, the couple became avidly involved in the Lumberton Antique Mall where they made many life-long friends with fellow co-workers.
Aside from her exceptional knack for antiquing, Darlene was also known for her many other talents; she was an incredible craftswoman, gardener, cook, and businesswoman, as well as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Darlene is survived by her daughter, Darla Bergeron Booth, 38 of Port Acres, TX, son Aaron Bergeron, 36 and daughter-in-law Beth Bergeron, 33, of Port Acres, TX and three grandchildren: Jadon Booth, 19, Taylor Bergeron, 15, and Laci Bergeron, 8, and was preceded in death by her parents and her late husband Roger Daniels.
Memorial services will be held at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur, TX on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 10:00 am. The family would like to express our thanks to Beth Bergeron who stood by Darlene’s side every moment of her battle with cancer, as well as Gentiva Hospice of Beaumont, TX for ensuring a comfortable transition from this world and into God’s hands.
