West End forces second game with BCLL

TOMBALL — Bridge City will have to try again at winning the Little League major sectional tournament tonight.

Beaumont West End beat Bridge City 9-8 Friday in the championship round, but it was the first loss for the Cardinals in the double-elimination event. The winner-take-all game is set for 7 tonight.

Also Friday, the Bridge City 12-under softball team defeated Silsbee 7-3 to win their Little League sectional title, and North Shore’s 11-under baseball team topped Port Neches 15-2.
