PORT NECHES — Port Neches-Groves improved to 4-0 in District 22-5A with a three-set volleyball rout of Port Arthur Memorial.

Behind the Rock-A-Noos’ 25-17, 25-14, 25-15 victory was Baylee Priddy’s 12 service points and 17 assists. In addition, Kailey Oliver scored 14 service points and made three blocks.

Bayja Newby totaled 13 digs, Rachel Hammersmith had 17 assists, Elizabeth Bolyard and Hannah Jones each totaled 10 kills and Kaitlyn Gill killed nine.

Memorial dropped to 9-13-1 and 1-3 in district.

PNG hosts Lumberton at 4:30 p.m. Friday while Memorial is at Ozen for a 6:30 p.m. contest.

NEDERLAND — The Nederland Bulldogs rebounded from its tough loss to PNG last Friday with a three-set win over Ozen Tuesday at the Dog Dome.

Nederland (12-16, 3-1) won the match 25-8, 25-14 and 25-15.

Blake MacFarlane led the Bulldogs with six kills to go with two aces and five digs. Darcie Jones had a team-high 14 digs added to two aces. Caly Holyfield had two aces, Amanda Longlet had two blocks and five kills and Katelynn Huckabay finished with nine kills and five digs.

Nederland hosts Vidor at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
