Kelvin Don Phillip, 64, of Port Arthur died Saturday, October 29, 2016. A lifelong resident of Port Arthur, Kelvin was employed by Great Lakes Carbon as a laborer for 15 years, Beaumont Dupont Works as a security guard for 10 years and Lamar State College for 5 years. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and a US Army veteran.

He is preceded in death by his parents Isiah and Antoinette Phillip.

Kelvin is survived by his wife of 41 years Rosenia Phillip; one son Kaleb Phillip both of Port Arthur; his father-in-law Edgar Wise, Sr. of Port Arthur; one god sister, Verletta Frank of Beaumont; one god daughter Keisha Frank of Port Arthur; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2016 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with visitation from 12 noon until service time. Burial will be in Houston National Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
