SABINE PASS — Scott Hagedorn was 8 minutes away from scoring his first victory as Sabine Pass’ boys basketball head coach.
But Warren went on a 22-10 fourth-quarter rally Monday afternoon to take a 55-50 win over the Sharks.
The Sharks overcame an early 19-13 hole to go into the final 8 minutes up seven. They shot 48 percent from two-point range but went 5 for 23 outside the arc. Warren, however, went 0 for 2 in threes the entire game.
Daniel Sam collected 23 points, five assists and eight rebounds, and Jamyus Jones had 16 points, five assists and five boards to lead Sabine Pass.
