Johnnie Ray Hall

Johnnie Ray Hall of Prairie View, Texas died Thursday at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was a resident of Port Arthur for 28 years, and was employed by the Sunbelt Equipment Co. as a laborer. Johnnie is a graduate of Waller High School.
A Christian wake will be held at Gabriel Funeral Home Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. The family will be present to receive family and friend who wish to offer condolences at that time. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 29, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Johnson-Phillip All Faith Chapel in Prairie View, Texas. Rev. Michael R. Prince will be the officiant. Burial will follow immediately after the service at the Prairie View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
More than 40 years ago Johnnie Hall met and fell in love with a beautiful college girl named Lynda Kay Woodard. They dated throughout her college undergraduate years, and were married after her graduation. They were married 38 years. To this union three children were born, Kayla Hall Acosta (Estive), Marc Edward Hall (Ashley), and Kiandra Hall. In addition to his wife and children, Johnnie leaves seven grandchildren, six sisters and seven brothers to mourn his death. His father James Edward Hall preceded him in death, and his mother Laura Mae Hall mourn the loss of one of her oldest sons.
Johnnie Ray Hall had two favorite pastimes, fishing and barbecuing. He was also a collector of priceless goods. Johnnie will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
