If stealing is wrong than stealing from needy children is downright vile.
The children helped by CASA, a nonprofit organization that mentors and helps children in the foster care system are some of the neediest Texans and taking thousands of dollars that would otherwise be used to help them is not excusable. We are happy to report that although the alleged theft did happen, CASA board members acted swiftly and clearly in the best interest of their wards. In addition, we are happy to report that CASA had insurance to protect itself against this sort of abuse.
Nevertheless, we hope this case is investigated thoroughly and that the perpetrator faces series consequences.
