Critter Cam

- The great blue heron is a very proficient angler. Standing on shorelines intently watching for fish, they jab them with their spear-like bill and will grab smaller fish and crawfish. This heron got a crappie on Lake Sam Rayburn. These birds will hang around marinas and brush piles frequented by fishermen and occasionally get those released fish that don’t make it down quite fast enough.
