Refujia Ramirez, 90, of Groves, Texas passed away April 7, 2017 passed away in Groves, TX. Refujia was born June 12, 1926 in Redlands, California to parents Pillar and Francisca Perez.
She married Isabel M. Ramirez in April 18, 1950 and lived in Port Arthur, Texas and raised 5 children. They later moved to Groves, Texas. She worked a few jobs throughout the years and was active in Lady’s LULAC and Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
She was preceded in death by parents, Pillar and Francisca Perez; brother, Carlos Perez; sister, Dora Cortez; sister, Lucia Salines; brother, Juan Perez; brother, Vicente Perez; sister, Gloria Perez.
Refujia is survived by her husband, Isabel M. Ramirez of Groves; her sons, Robert Ramirez and his wife, Debbie of San Antonio; Louis Ramirez and his wife, Nancy of Groves, John Ramirez and his wife, Tammy of Conroe, Richard Ramirez and his wife Debbie of Groves; her daughter, Margaret Love and her husband, Les of LaBelle; her sisters, Margaret Ingram, Emilia Carrillo, Frances Cazarez. Refujia is also survived by her ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves, with a rosary to be prayed at 6:30 PM. A Christian Burial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the funeral home; celebrant will be Rev. Urbano Saenz. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial park.
