Joseph “Joe” Poche, Jr., 86, of Port Arthur, died Thursday, June 15, 2017, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. He was born on May 27, 1931, in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, to Linda Roberts and Joseph Poche, Sr., and had been a resident of Port Arthur, since 1951. Joe was a United States Army veteran and retired as a supervisor after twenty-seven years of employment.

He enjoyed riding horses and going to the Rodair Club. Joe will be remembered as a hardworking man.

Joe is survived by his son, Ricky Poche and his wife, Doris, of Fred; daughter, Lisa Poche, of Port Neches; grandsons, Jason Poche and his wife, Whitney, of Spurger and Kristopher Creel and his wife, JoAnna, of Groves; great-grandchildren, Gunner, Greenlee, Abigail, and Ella; brothers, Alvin Poche, of Port Acres and Harry Poche and wife, Mary, of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Linda and Joe Poche; daughter, Karen Poche Watts; two sisters; and five brothers.

A gathering of Mr. Poche’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 16, 2017, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 17, 2017, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
