- Coach Scott Carter and the Port Neches-Groves baseball team came home to a championship celebration the night of their June 10 state championship victory over Grapevine in the Class 5A final, which was contested in Round Rock. Another celebration will be held for the Indians in the form of a championship parade starting at 7 tonight. The parade will begin on Port Neches Avenue at the Alternative Education Center, 1810 Port Neches Ave., continue toward PNG High School and end at the PNGHS baseball field with a pep rally. (I.C.
