An 87-year-old woman was injured after two men took her purse outside a Central Mall store on Sunday.

Port Arthur Police responded to the aggravated robbery around 2:55 p.m. at the mall, 3100 FM 365, according to information from the city of Port Arthur.

The woman was leaving the mall when two men approached her and took her purse. She tried to hold on to her purse and fell to the ground sustaining minor injuries.

PAPD’s Criminal Investigations Division is working the case.

The female was treated and released.

The persons of interest have been identified.
