As the storm passes through our region this week, please take care to check on your elderly friends and extended family who may not have enough food on hand or other necessities. While it appears the stores will stay open and the lights will stay on, the fact remains that driving conditions are not ideal and therefore anyone who has difficulty behind the wheel should not be driving.

Football’s almost here!
Football, that favorite fall tradition, is back and we will be there at the games. To kick things off we will be publishing our annual football program Thursday. It will contain a peek at local high school, college and professional teams. Our sports editor, I.C. Murrell has been working hard on it and we’re sure the fans, the families and the friends of the teams will want to grab a copy.
