Jimmie Faye Folsom
Jimmie Faye Folsom, 79, of Port Neches, died Thursday, August 24, 2017, at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston. She was born on August 16, 1938, in Timpson, to Nina Faye Hunter Williams and J.K. Williams.
Jimmie enjoyed cooking, traveling, sewing, and arts and crafts. She also enjoyed listening to Blue Grass Music. Jimmie will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandma.
Survivors include husband of sixty-one years, Cleveland “Bud” Folsom of Port Neches; daughter, Kathy Guarnere and her husband, David, of Mont Belvieu; sons, James Folsom and his wife, Mary, of Vinton, Louisiana and Sam Folsom and his wife, Diana, of Nederland; grandchildren, Jason Guarnere and his wife, Jessie, and Stefanie Baggett and her husband, Joey; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Maggie, and Peyton; and sister, Billie Blackburn and her son, Robert, of Beaumont.
She was preceded in death by her father, J.K. Williams; mother and step-father, Nina and Frasier Wiley; and sister, Ora Lee Davis.
A gathering of Mrs. Folsom’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 28, 2017, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
