GROVES — Officials with the city of Groves are asking residents impacted by recent flooding to allow FEMA contractors to remove the debris in front of their homes

The city is asking residents to take pictures of damaged items and take pictures of before and after tear out and damaged items.

The FEMA contractors will not be in the city indefinitely, so it is important that they are allowed to remove as much of the flood damage tear out and other damaged items as quickly as possible. FEMA representatives have told the city that this will not impact your ability to collect on flood insurance or any other FEMA reimbursement.
