Nancy L. DeMas

Nancy L. DeMas, 78, of Port Arthur, died Sunday, September 24, 2017. She was born on May 24, 1939, in Quakertown, Pennsylvania.

Nancy was a HAM operator. She enjoyed music, travelling across the country with Jimmy on the motorcycle, camping, and going to the beach. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, Mimi, and MamMam.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-nine years, James Franklin DeMas, Sr.; daughter, Judy DeMas Wooten and her husband, Wilson, of Beaumont; sons, James “Jimmy” DeMas and his wife, Lisa, of Port Neches; Chris DeMas and his wife, Daniella, of Dallas; and Carroll DeMas and his wife, Ashley, of Groves; grandchildren, Colton, Jimbo, Demi, Christion, Dylan, Layla, Ryan, Bill, Taylor, Ikuno, Jose, Diego, C.J., Isabella, and Mike; great-grandchildren, Emery, James, Elise, and Reid; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Marion Kernechel; and granddaughter, Jessica Marie Bergeron.

A gathering of Mrs. DeMas’ family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m., with her memorial service to follow at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 28, 2017, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
