In the past month since Tropical Storm Harvey flooded our area, we have been telling the stories of Harvey’s Heroes, those men and women who went above and beyond serving our communities.

Some of these heroes served strangers, some served their neighbors but every person we have profiled served for long hours and for days during devastating flooding that did not spare even them.

We have tried to give faces and names to these angels and our reporters have enjoyed telling these good news stories.

And we are not yet finished.

The floodwaters may be long gone, but the heroics are not.

Therefore, we are putting out another call for heroes—for anyone who went above and beyond during or after the storm and during the recovery process. If you know of someone who helped you, your friends or your community in the wake of the flooding, please let us know.

We suffered terribly, but these people, these Harvey’s Heroes are a bright light reminding all of us that there are heroes hidden in plain sight, ready to do more than anyone could ask in the toughest of times.
