COLMESNEIL — Just one more win, and Sabine Pass would have earned a second straight playoff berth.

Instead, the Sharks (1-3, 1-3 in 12-2A Division II) got shut out for the third straight game. Sabine Pass would have to upset Evadale (6-2, 3-1) and Colmesneil would have to lose to Burkeville (0-7, 0-4) for the Sharks to get into the playoffs.
