Tickets to the 58th Annual Bridge City Chamber of Commerce Banquet will include dinner suited to one’s individual taste.
The banquet includes Taste of the Bayou, offerings from some 15-20 restaurants from around the Golden Triangle.
B.J. Hanneman, chamber director, said dinner offerings will include pizza, bakery goods, and other special treats. A new vendor, The Broken Leaf, will offer tea.
Taste of the Bayou has been a continuing, annual event, Hanneman said. The vendor list includes restaurants and other food services. The list fluctuates as restaurants and vendors sign up or leave.
“Sometimes the vendors have special events and cannot participate,” she said.
Hanneman said the event starts with social time at 6 p.m. Jan. 22; dinner begins 30 minutes later and the program 30 minutes after that.
Gulf Coast Cajuns will provide entertainment and Neches Federal Credit Union will provide a photo booth.
In addition to the program and entertainment, there will be an auction of sports items.
A brief “change of the gavel” ceremony will feature President Elyse Thibodeaux handing the gavel to new president Terri Gauthier.
Hanneman said the event has been scheduled later in January to avoid conflicts with the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship, set for Jan. 8 in Atlanta.
The event is also open to the public. Tickets cost $15; the price of a sponsored table of eight is $160, with mention in the program. Sponsored tables must be reserved by Jan. 12.
