Filing continues for seats on Port Arthur and Nederland independent school district board of trustees.

In Port Arthur, incumbents Debra Ambroise and Brandon Bartie have tossed their hats back in the ring. Incumbent Joseph Guillory II is running for Jefferson County Justice of the Peace Precinct 8.

If Guillory were elected, he would step down from his position on the PAISD board; however, his term would end in May regardless, according to a story that ran in November 2017.
