The ice and cold weather prevented all the leagues from bowling last week.

The Monday night Valero League, the Thursday night Energy Country Ford/Allstate League, and the Saturday morning Stars of Tomorrow were able to warm the lanes up a bit last week.

Let’s start with Valero. Alanda Boldt showed up and was able to put together a nice set. Alanda stroked games of 191, 174 and 255 for a 620 series, enough to lead all the senior women. RaeAnna Todora found the groove with games of 231, 214 and 223 for a sweet 668 series to lead all the lady bowlers this past week.

Thursday night had a blast from the past, Tommy Girolamo lead all the senior men by stringing three nice games together, 220, 222  and 242. Those games had Tommy sitting on top with a 684 series.

This week’s top bowler was Jeff Witzleben. Jeff was impressive as he hammered the lanes with games of 226, 237 and 289 to take top honors with a 752 series.

Saturday morning had Blaine Seymour leading all the youth. Blaine put together games of 195, 155 and 224 for a 574 set.

Well, folks, maybe this cold weather is coming to an end. One thing for sure is we did have a winter in Southeast Texas.
