BEAUMONT — A 54-year-old Beaumont man is behind bars after police say he rammed at least four vehicles with his car Thursday night.

Beaumont Police were called shortly after 5 p.m. to the area of Calder Avenue and West Lucas Drive where they found the suspect still inside his vehicle with the doors locked, according to a press release from the Beaumont Police Department.

He reportedly failed to comply with officers’ requests for him to get out of his vehicle and made numerous threats to harm others.

There were several other vehicles that the suspect hit, that left the scene prior to officers arriving. Detectives are asking anyone who witnessed this crime or whose vehicle was hit (and did not already make a report) to call Beaumont Police at 409-832-1234.
