A home-going celebration will be held for EDDIE ALLEN ROMAN, age 70, at 2:30 pm, Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Strong Tower Ministries, in Port Arthur, Tx with Rev. Clarence Prevost, III officiating. He will await the resurrection and the coming of Jesus in Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery in Port Arthur, Tx. Visitation and viewing will be held at Strong Tower Ministries 5100 25th Street Port Arthur, Tx at 1:30pm, until time of service.

Mr. Eddie Roman was born on Septermber 6, 1947 to Arthine T. Roman and Willie Roman, Sr.

Mr. Roman left his earthly body on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at his home, with his devoted, loving family at his side.

A resident of Jeanerette, LA, Eddie was enlisted in the United States Navy, traveling the world and partaking in the Vietnam war. He served his country from 1967-1971 with an honorable discharge. Always a hardworker, he later provided for his family by working at various refineries (Gulf & Chevron), offshore and construction, until his retirement.

Eddie Roman was preceded in death by his parents, Arthine “Baye” T. Roman and Willie Roman, Sr.; two (2) brothers, Charles A. Roman and Cornelius Alfred Roman and one (1) sister, Willie Mae Vicks.

He leaves to cherish his memory and in God’s care his devoted wife, Carla J. Prevost Roman of Port Arthur, Tx; Six (6) daughters, LaTorshia Valadez (Jesse) of Fullerton, CA; Nicole Roman of Port Arthur, Tx; Anita Roman (Derrick) of Port Arthur, Tx; Robyn Wade (Charles) of Columbia, SC; Eddy-Alecia Lavalais (Steffinal) of Cypress, Tx and Adrianna Prevost of Port Arthur, Tx;

Two (2) sisters Myrna R. Fondal of Monroe, LA; Debera K. Morman of Hyattsville, MD;  Four (4) brothers; Frank Nicolas of Galveston, Tx; Willie Roman, Jr. of Jeanerette, LA; Eldridge R. Roman of Jeanerette, LA; and Lawrence J. Roman (Carlotta) of Lathrop, CA;Seventeen (17) grandchildren and one (1) great-grandchild: Iman, Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Jacob Valadez; Diamond Paul and Jade Windom; Timothy Roman, Tyler Jackson and Travis Roman; Roman, Haven, Zoey, Charlie, and Noah Wade; Steffinal, Jr., Eddie and Drew Lavalais; Autumn Singleton… and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
