GOLF: Landry tied for 12th after another 69 at Hilton Head

Andrew Landry carded his third consecutive sub-70 round — a two-under-par 69 — Saturday in the RBC Heritage to keep alive his chances for a third top-10 finish of the 2017-18 PGA Tour season.
The Port Neches-Groves ex rebounded from a slow start — he was one over through seven holes at Harbour Town Golf Links — to roll in birdies on the eighth, 10th and 15th holes. That left him seven-under through 54 holes and moved him up nine places into a tie for 12th.
Landry is six shots off the lead of Ian Poulter, but is only one stroke outside the top 10. Earlier in the year he recorded a tie for fourth in the RSM Classic at Sea Island, Georgia, and finished outright second at the CareerBuilders Challenge in Palm Springs, California.
Because of anticipated bad weather in the Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, area Sunday, starting times have been moved up. Television times, however, are still listed for noon to 1:45 p.m. on the Golf Channel and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on CBS (KFDM-6).
