Peter H. Walker, “Tex”, was born June 24, 1932 to Arteon and Sedonia Walker in Washington, LA. He peacefully went to be with his Heavenly Father on April 14, 2018 after a brief illness. He retired from Texaco Refinery with 30 years of service and he was a resident of Port Arthur for over 60 years. He was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where he was a member of the maintenance committee and the Golden Age Group until his health began to decline. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, one sister and his son Marcel James Walker.
He leaves to cherish his memory to his beloved wife of 52 years, Tonia Ann Walker, a brother Raphael Walker and one sister Mercedes Collins both of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren Devin Archbold (Michael) of McKinney, Texas and Marcus Walker of Port Arthur, Texas; two great-grandsons Micah and Noah of McKinney, Texas; two nieces Cynthia Collins and Terrell Ann Rollins of Houston, Texas that helped care for him during his illness, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass will be held Friday April 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 920 Booker T. Washington Ave. with Rev. Sampson Etim, M.S.P officiating. Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with the Holy Rosary being recited at 10:15 a.m. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Service entrusted to Hannah Funeral Home, Inc.
