PREP ROUNDUP: Bulldogs’ Credeur one-hits Lions in five

NEDERLAND — Braydon Credeur held Livingston to one hit, and Nederland backed him up nicely in a five-inning, 12-0 baseball win Friday.
Credeur, who is signed with Lamar, struck out nine and threw only 71 pitches going the distance. Colton Hartt led Nederland (19-6-1, 11-1 in 22-5A) at the plate, going 2 for 3 with three RBI and two runs, and Landon Hiltz drove in four runs in a 1-for-3 game.
Alex Ortiz (two RBI), Case Babino, Kyler Bertrand, Wade Butler and Christian Martinez had the other hits for Nederland, which also beat Livingston 12-0 on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs can clinch the District 22-5A championship at home against Port Arthur Memorial on Tuesday.

BEAUMONT — Khristian Curtis tossed eight strikeouts in three innings and teamed with Brandon Petix (five strikeouts) to one-hit Beaumont Central on Friday.
Port Neches-Groves (16-9-3, 10-2 in 22-5A) outhit Central 17-1, with Carson Roccaforte (2 for 2) and Holden Lane (2 for 3) each driving in three runs. Drake Varnado (2 for 2) and Nick Nguyen (1 for 1, two runs) each batted in two.
Josh Hranicky (one RBI), Cade Billeaud and Curtis each hammered two hits. Austin Bost, Cameron Stansbury (RBI), Blake Bost (RBI) and Jamison Simmons (RBI) had the other hits , with Justin Bailey and Curtis batting in a run apiece.
PNG will host Livingston on Tuesday to begin the final two-game set of the regular season.
Vidor 5, Memorial 1
In Port Arthur, the Titans could not give David Torres the run support he needed.
Torres held the Pirates to one earned run through 5 1/3 innings, striking out six. Riyad Antoine hit a double and Josue Rodriguez had a hit as well for Memorial.

ORANGEFIELD — Peyton Havard struck out 11, and Caleb Dubois smacked an RBI single as the Cardinals (19-7-1, 8-1 in 22-4A) wrapped up their 26th district championship in school history.

Sabine Pass 7, Deweyville 3
DEWEYVILLE — Jaizee Landry struck out 14 and walked none, and the Sharks (6-2 in 24-4A) sewed up second place in the district with a four-run win over the Pirates.
Landry also batted 2 for 4 with two RBI and scored two runs. Lauren Price was 3 for 4 with one RBI.
