County leads drug probe, arrest sweep

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputies and other local agencies culminated a two-year investigation by attempting to serve felony and misdemeanor warrants for narcotics charges on as many as 30 suspects, starting Thursday.
In an issued statement, the sheriff’s office said the arrest operation began at 9 a.m. Thursday and continued into Friday.
Over the course of this investigation, detectives made undercover buys and conducted surveillance and traffic stops that led to the charges, the statement said. Agencies that participated in the investigations were Beaumont Police Department; Port Arthur Police Department; Nederland Police Department; Port Neches Police Department; Groves Police Department; Hardin County Sheriff’s Office; Orange County Sheriff’s Office; Drug Enforcement Administration; Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; Department of Public Safety and U.S. Marshals Service.
About 30 individuals were sought, most on multiple warrants. All but 12 were arrested. Attached is a list of those individuals with outstanding warrants:
- Lura Masters, 42, manufacture/deliver of a controlled Substance X3, Delivery of a Controlled substance X2.
- Cornelius Keal, 29, manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance X2.
- Dylan Johnson, 24, delivery of marijuana.
- Curtis Vincent, 18, possession of marijuana, manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance.
- Kristen Johnson, 32, possession of a controlled substance, delivery of a controlled substance.
- Edward Sanders III, 27, possession of dangerous drugs
- Brandon Bazron, 31, delivery of a controlled substance
- Cory Richardson, 35, delivery of a controlled substance
- Wesley Davis, 31, delivery of a controlled substance X2.
- Richard Cryer, 31, possession with intent to deliver.
- Anthony Robinson, 23, possession of a controlled substance.
- Travis Smith, 27, delivery of a controlled substance.
