A 6-year-old child is deceased after an accident with a lawn mower tractor.

Port Arthur Police were called at 2:01 p.m. to the 3400 block of 63^rd Street in reference to a motor vehicle accident at the residence, according to a press release from the PAPD.

Police found the child with serious injuries. He was brought to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont where he was later pronounced dead due to his injuries.

The department’s criminal investigations division was noticed along with crime scene technicians. The case is under investigation.
