PAPD releases name of latest murder victim

- Sharonn Laroyce Cole, 41, has been identified as the victim of Sunday's fatal shooting in Port Arthur.
Port Arthur Police have identified Sharonn Laroyce Cole as the victim of a fatal shooting on Sunday.
Cole, 41, whose last known address was in Beaumont, was found in the 400 block of Fort Worth Avenue around 2:30 a.m. Dec. 2.
The section of Fort Worth Avenue is near Procter Street and in the vicinity of Club Sistah’s. He had been shot multiple times and was transported to The Medical Center of Southeast Texas where he was pronounced deceased from his injuries.
PAPD Det. Mike Hebert said Cole was found in the general vicinity of the club but did not state if Cole had been to the club.
A person of interest has been identified though numerous Crime Stoppers tips and though several calls to the police department.
This marked the 14th homicide in the city this year, 10 of which have been cleared with an arrest.
