Nettie Joe Beasley, age 85, of Palestine, entered eternal rest on Monday, December 24, 2018. She was born on the 5th day of June, 1933, in Port Arthur, Texas to U.O. Whaley and Myrtle Harding Whaley.  Mrs. Beasley worked in management at Southwestern Bell/AT&T until her retirement in 1984.  She was a generous person at heart who devoted numerous hours of her life to volunteering and helping others.  Mrs. Beasley enjoyed working in the yard and gardening, especially in her flowerbeds.     

She is preceded in death by her parents, U.O. and Myrtle Whaley; brothers, Bill Whaley, Johnny Whaley and Jimmy Whaley.

Mrs. Beasley is survived by her adoring husband of 66 years, Ken Beasley; sons, Kenneth W. Beasley, Jr. “Chuck” and Keven W. Beasley; grandchildren, Marissa Beasley, Jason Beasley, Kristopher Beasley and Andrew Beasley.

A memorial service to honor Nettie Beasley’s life will be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 29th day of December, 2018 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Bro. Wayne Frazier officiating.

Friends are cordially invited to visit with the family one hour prior to the service beginning at one o’clock at Rhone Funeral Home.
