PREP ROUNDUP: Memorial splits games in Silsbee

Adler Kithler scattered five hits through 3 1/3 innings and hit a double in leading Memorial to a 9-6 win over Silsbee on Thursday in the Silsbee tournament.
Kithler struck out one and allowed five earned runs. Van Ellas came on for two-thirds and gave up just one hit.
Jeremiah Fielder (RBI), Miguel Martinez (double) and Branden Chaney each had two hits for the Titans. Kithler batted in a run and had a sacrifice fly, and Hubert Felix and Josue Rodriguez also doubled.
The Titans then lost to Evadale 10-2. Rodriguez batted 2 for 2 with an RBI, and Chaney, Kithler and Ellas each had a hit.
Jasper 11, Bridge City 9
In the Jasper tournament Friday, a six-run second inning helped Jasper overtake Bridge City 10-6 and march to a two-run victory.
The game was tied at 4-4 through one inning.
Slade Foreman, Peyton Havard (double), Gavin Green, Jackson Tims and Cameron Yadon each had a hit for the Cardinals (9-3-2). Havard batted in three runs and Tims drove in two.
Aidan Monroe went 3 for 3 with two RBI to lead Jasper.
Carthage 6, Bridge City 5
In Jasper on Thursday, Carthage turned back Bridge City with three runs in the bottom of the seventh after the Cardinals took a 5-3 lead with two runs in the top of the inning.
Havard went 2 for 4 with a double. Logan Hamm (triple, two RBI), Forman (double) and Tims had the other Cardinal hits.
Four BC pitchers were used. Hamm struck out three and allowed one hit in the first four innings.
Mason Bobo batted 2 for 3 and Gunner Capps drove in two runs for Carthage.
Bridge City 6, Kirbyville 3
In Jasper on Thursday, Yadon, Havard and Green each had two hits, and Jaxon Luna worked 4 1/3 innings and struck out three for the pitching win over the Wildcats.
Sam Carpenter, Cace Skinner and Hamm had the other Bridge City hits.
Nederland 3, Central Heights 3
In Jasper on Thursday, Nederland and Central Heights completed six innings before finishing in a tie.
Nederland scored three in the second inning after Central Heights struck for two in the first inning. Noah Gregory went the longest on the mound for the Bulldogs, striking out seven and allowing two earned runs on four hits in five innings.
PNG 2, Lufkin 0
In the Lufkin tournament Thursday, Grant Rogers tossed a four-hit complete-game shutout and struck out three Panthers.
Carson Roccaforte went 2 for 3 and Blake Bost hammered the other hit for the Indians (3-8). Dean Guidry and Bost each collected an RBI.
Houston Westside 5, PNG 2
In Lufkin, PNG could not build much momentum after taking a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning.
Reece Mancera batted 2 for 3, Cade Billeaud and Guidry each had a hit, and Ryan Sosa and Reid Porter knocked in runs for the Indians. Carson Roccaforte struck out three but allowed four earned runs on seven hits in four innings for PNG.
Hunter Hranicky threw two perfect innings for the Indians.
