Longtime community member and businessman Tom Broussard died Monday after a battle with cancer.

Broussard, 57, was co-CEO of Broussard’s Mortuary, which his family has been part of since the late 1800s and he has been part of numerous organizations including the Beaumont Chamber of Commerce and Young Men’s Business League among other nonprofits, according to information from 12News.

He and 12News anchor Vanessa Holmes married last April and the two have been open about Tom’s battle with glioblastoma, a form of brain cancer.

Funeral services are pending.
