Celeste’ Flores

Celeste’ Flores, 65, of Port Neches passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at her home.

She was born on December 4, 1953 to her parents, Juan Juarez Sr. and Dora Garcia Juarez in Port Arthur, Texas. Celeste’ earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Lamar University. She was a lifelong resident of the area. She taught school at St. Josephs in Port Arthur and retired from Port Neches Groves Independent School District as a fourth grade teacher at Port Neches Elementary School, with 22 years of total service. Celeste’ was the owner and operator of Celeste’ Tamales in Port Neches. Once retired, she loved to bake, decorate, and enjoy her grandchildren.  She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Enrique Juarez, her sister, Yolanda Juarez Belle-Isle, her two sons, Anthony Flores and Jesse Flores III.

Celeste’ is survived by her loving husband, Jesse Flores, Jr. of Port Neches, her daughter, Celina Ellis and her husband, Matt of Port Neches, her two grandchildren, Luke Ellis and Alexia Ellis, her brother, Juan Juarez, Jr. and his wife, Christy of Orange, daughter in law, Jessica Flores along with several nieces.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM  at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Thursday, March 21, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches with Rev. Shane Baxter, serving as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Clayton Thompson.
