Javier Palacios, Jr., 22, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Monday, April 1, 2019. Javier was born March 13, 1997 in Port Arthur, Texas to Javier Palacios and Suzi Renshaw Gillette. Javier was very protective of his family, friends and son, Ethan Palacios. He was always helpful and enjoyed helping his father, just as his son enjoyed helping him. Javier enjoyed spending time with his son and taking him on outings. He had a passion for drawing and sports.

Javier is preceded in death by his brother, Gregorio Cabrera Jr. He is survived by his father, Javier Palacios of Port Arthur; mother, Suzi Gillette and her husband Earl of DeRidder, La.; step-mother, Marla Palacios of Port Arthur; son, Ethan Palacios and his mother Alexandria Guillen; sisters, Gabriela Palacios, Chelsea Thompson, Lexi Rowley of Bryan, TX, Raquel Cabrera of Port Arthur; brother, Christopher Healer of Conroe; grandparents, Felipa Flores Don Juan and Emilio Palacios Olvera. Javier also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.

A gathering of friends and relatives will be Friday, April 5, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
