Daviun “Weedy” Julien

On Monday, April 8, 2019, God called home his child Daviun “Weedy” Julien.  He was born to the union of Michael Ray Martin and Assandra Julien on August 18, 2019 in Galveston, Texas.  He was first born of three children.  Weedy attended Booker T. Washington, Franklin, Edison and Lincoln High and later received his GED.  He received his certificates in welding and was a certified Welder.

Weedy accepted Christ at an early age.

He is preceded in death by his father Michael R. Martin; grandmother Elmyre “Lillie Mae” Martin; grandfather, Frank Green, Jr.; great-grandmothers, Louanna Johnson and Katherine Green.

Weedy is survived by his loving and devoted parents, Assandra and Kenneth Jones; brothers, Quintin and Andrew Brown; the love of his life, daughter, Averie; grandparents, Velma Ruffin and Erma Jean Jones; aunts, Lidya Lewis, Maurice Henry, Helen Pilette, Eloise Shankle and Jacqueline Jones; uncles, Joseph “Man” Martin, Timothy and Clinton Jones; devoted cousins, Arbranel, Damand, Ogbonna Lewis; nieces, nephew, and devoted friend, LaTisha Darrington.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2019 at Gabriel Funeral Home Chapel, 2500 Procter Street, Port Arthur, TX with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time.
